Applications

Applied to:

FWEIDE525D-2
Dual Bay (5.25 inch): FireWire (IEEE 1394a) to IDE(ATA/ATAPI) x 2 Enclosure (w/ Two FW-142ASCi)

FWEIDE525D-3
Dual Bay (5.25 inch + 3.5 inch): FireWire (IEEE 1394a) to IDE(ATA/ATAPI) x 2 (Master and Slave) Enclosure (w/ One FW-142ASCi and DB-525FW)

  • To turn your SCSI enclosure into FireWire Enclosure.
  • To change the slow & expensive SCSI device with cheap & fast EIDE device.
  • SCSI Enclosure and RAID system vendors using the IDE(ATA/ATAPI) interface now have an immediate and no-risk answer for adding FireWire (IEEE 1394a) solutions to their product lines.
