U2FW-IDE12-FW is a FireWire (IEEE 1394a) to IDE (ATA/ATAPI) Bridge Board featuring Oxford OXFW911plus FireWire (IEEE 1394a) to IDE Bridge Controller

U2FW-IDE12-FW is suitable for tailgating interface applications for removable-media rives CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, tape drive, and hard disk drive. It allows IDE drives (Master and Slave) to connect to FireWire (IEEE 1394a) serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion.

U2FW-IDE12-FW provides the perfect solution for data backup and transferring of data between computers using IDE (ATA/ATAPI) devices.

U2FW-IDE12-FW also is a selectable hardware RAID bridge for two 3.5" ATA HDD. A true hardware solution, U2FW-IDE12-FW requires no software to be installed on your machine.

It provides 3 hardware RAID mode:

• RAID 0 (Striping): for two disks with same capacity.
• Spanning: for two disks with different capacity.
• Non-RAID (JBOD).
