• U2FW-IDE02 support two IDE (ATA/ATAPI) devices.

U2FW-IDE02 is an USB 2.0 & FireWire (IEEE 1394) to IDE (ATA/ATAPI) bridge board featuring:

• FireWire (IEEE 1394a):
  IEEE 1394a to IDE Bridge Controller (initio inic-1430L)
• USB 2.0:
  USB 2.0 to IDE Bridge Controller (Cypress CY7C68300-56PVC).

U2FW-IDE02 is ideally suited for tailgating interface applications such as removable-media drives CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, tape drive, and hard disk drive. It allows IDE drives to connect to USB 2.0 or FireWire (IEEE 1394) serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion. Both ATA and ATAPI devices are supported using the same firmware.

U2FW-IDE02 allows users to easily hot-swap IDE drive without interrupting the current operation. U2FW-IDE02 provides the perfect solution for data backup and transferring of data between computers using IDE (ATA/ATAPI) devices.
