DB-35U2FWEIDE01 is an USB 2.0 & FireWire (IEEE 1394) to IDE (ATAPI) bridge board in 3.5" FDD form factor. It is ideally suited for tailgate interface applications for removable-media drives CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW. It allows PC's DVD/CD drive to be connected to either USB 2.0 or FireWire (IEEE 1394a) serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion. DB-35U2FWEIDE01 provides peer-to-peer DVD/CD copy function through FireWire (IEEE 1394a) serial bus connection.
