Device Mode: FireWire800 (IEEE 1394b) USB 2.0 ComBo to Dual SATA Bridge Board

FWBU2DSATA01 is a selectable hardware RAID Bridge Board for two SATA HDDs. A true hardware solution, FWBU2DSATA01 requires no software to be installed on your machine.

It provides 4 hardware RAID mode:

• RAID 0 (Striping): for two disks with same capacity.
• Spanning: for two disks with different capacity.
• Non-RAID (JBOD).
• RAID 1 (Mirroring): for two disks with same capacity.

RAID 0 (Striping) and Spanning:
By striping/ spanning technique, FWBU2DSATA01 integrates two HDDs into a big drive.

RAID 1 (Mirroring):
By mirroring technique, FWBU2DSATA01 maintains data in two disk drives simultaneously and securely. If one drive fails, FWBU2DSATA01 automatically switches operations to the functional drive and alert the failure. Once a new HDD is installed to replace the defective drive, the FWBU2DSATA01 will automatic rebuild the entire HDD image in the background, while providing the un-interrupt data connection to the system

FWBU2DSATA01 provides three host interface for connecting the computer.

• USB Bus Transfer Rate: High Speed (480 Mbit) And Full Speed (12 Mbit)
• USB Bus Power: Self Powered Mode Operation
• FireWire Port:: Two Bilingual (IEEE 1394b) Connectors

• 1394 Bus Transfer Rate: 100/200/400/800 Mbps
• SATA Port: Two SATA Signal 7pin Connectors
• SATA Transfer Rate: 150Mbytes/s
• Provide pin header for Power indicator LED and SATA Access LED

  Note: For Host Mode it needs a CB-00358 Reverse Type eSATA Cable.

ESATA-ECS-2R ---e-SATA 7pin receptacle to SATA 7pin plug (Reverse Type) signal extension cable (CB-00358) with SCSI 1 connector Form Factor Bracket BR-00184.
BR-00184 was designed to hold one CB-00358 and one RJ45 receptacle port PCBA which come with Areca ARC5030 RAID subsystem.
