Introduction

FWEIDE525-1 is ideally suited for tailgate interface applications for removable-media drives - CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, tape drive, and hard disk drive. It allows IDE drives to be connected to FireWire (IEEE 1394a) serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion. both ATA and ATAPI devices are supported using the same firmware.
