FWEIDE525-B1 is ideally suited for tailgate interface applications for ATAPI ODD drives CD-R, CD-RW,DVD-RW, DVD+RW. It allows IDE drives (Master or Slave) to connect to FireWire (IEEE 1394a) serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion.

FWEIDE525-B1 allows users to easily hot-swap IDE drive without interrupting the current operation. FWEIDE525-B1 provides the perfect solution for data backup and transfering of data between computers using IDE (ATAPI) devices. FWEIDE525-B1 provides a HID (Push Button) through FireWire (IEEE 1394a) serial bus connection.

Pressing the Multi-Function button on top of FWEIDE525-B1 will start the application software. The application software can detect whether a DV Camcorder is connected and decide to execute the CD duplication or the conversion of DV capturing to DVD duplication.

• DVD/CD Duplication: When no DV camcorder is connected
  (Duplicating DVD/CD image from an original source to a blank DVD/CD)
• DVD Duplication: When connects to DV camcorder
  (Capturing DV footage from DV camcorder and record to a blank DVD)

FWEIDE525-B1 combines four key components:

3). Metal Chassis

• Top and bottom bracket design provide good shielding for EMI prevention.
