Introduction

FW2ATA-WP is a FireWire (IEEE 1394a) to ATA storage equipment with read-only (write protect) function. It allows ATA/SATA storage devices to be connected to FireWire (IEEE 1394a) serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion. The read-only (write protect) function provides the perfect solution for forensic application.

  • FW2ATA-WP supports the following ATA storage devices.

    • Type I/II Compact Flash
  • FW2ATA-WP supports primary partition and multiple logical partition.
  • FW2ATA-WP supports all kinds of file system:
    • FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS file system for Windows.
    • Ext2 and Ext3 file system for Linux
    • Mac OS Standard and Mac OS Extended file system for Mac OS
