FWBEIDE525D-MR2 is ideally for tailgate interface applications for 3.5" ATA HDD.
It allows ATA drives to be connected to a FireWire (IEEE 1394) serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion. FWBEIDE525D-MR2 provides the perfect solution for data backup and transferring of data between computers using ATA devices. FWBEIDE525D-MR2 allows users to easily hot-swap ATA drive without interrupting the current operation.

FWBEIDE525D-MR2 combines three key components:
1). Two FireWire 800 (1394b) to IDE (ATA) Bridge Board
2). Two IDE (ATA) Mobile Rack
3). Mechanism and Power supply

1). FireWire 800 (1394b) to ATA Bridge Board:

• IDE (ATA) Interface: Male IDC 2X20 Connector
• Number of ports: External X 3 (Two Biligual-9pin and One FireWire-6pin)
• 1394b PHY: Ti TSB81BA3
• 1394 Bus Transfer Rate: 100/200/400/800 Mbps
• Complies with T13's ATA/ATAPI-7 Draft Specification:
  • - PIO Mode 0-4
  • - DMA Mode 0-2
  • - Ultra DMA Mode 2, 4, 5, 6
• Supports 48-bit LBA for large hard drives (>128GB).

2). IDE (ATA) Mobile Rack

• Frame of IDE Mobile Rack is designed to fit the standard dimension of 5.25" device bay of the computer case.
• The inner HDD tray provide the screw hole for 3.5" ATA HDD.
• The inner HDD tray and mounting frame were made by aluminum which is good for heat dissipation.
• Ejecting pull handle with miniature keylock.
• keylock + Power Switch make ATA HDD Hot Swaptable
• One Built-in 40x40 mm cooling fan.
• Power indicator LED and HDD Access LED
• Provide three kinds of HDD Mobile Tray:
  • 3.5" ATA HDD Mobile Tray (default)
  • 2.5" ATA HDD Mobile Tray
  • 3.5" Serial ATA HDD Mobile Tray
