Introduction

FWBEIDE525Q-R5 takes full advantage of high-speed FireWire (IEEE 1394) serial bus and Ultra DMA 133 ATA Bus allowing for multi-user and multitasking performance. FWBEIDE525Q-R5 delivers the performance required for servers and I/O demanding applications such as Video-On-Demand, database servers, workstations, high-end desktops, and image systems. FWBEIDE525Q-R5 allows users to easily hot-swap ATA drive without interrupting the current operation.

SPECIAL FEATURE

LCD Control Panel: To simplify the RAID setup and management of the associated disk drives.

  • Allows manual RAID configuration and status monitoring
  • Uses hardware monitor to monitor system voltage, temperature and fan activity
  • Displays warning message on LCD screen when respective disk encounters problems

2). ARC-5010 (IDE-RAID-IDE Subsystem)
3). CF-7041 (Quadra 5.25" Bays SCSI Enclosure)

1). FWB-IDE01A (FireWire800 (IEEE 1394b) to ATA Bridge Board:

  • Support Multi-Unit Function to allow FireWire bridge board to attach two (Master and Slave) IDE devices.

3). CF-7041 (Quadra 5.25" Bays SCSI Enclosure)
