Introduction

U2FWEIDE525 is designed for removable-media drives to tailgate interface applications. The removable-media drives include CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, tape drive, and hard disk drive. It allows IDE drives to connect to USB 2.0 and FireWire (IEEE 1394) serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion. Both ATA and ATAPI devices are supported by the same firmware.

    - With either built-in USB port or USB 2.0 to PCI host adapter (IOI-4521 recommended.)

  • Notebook PC: - With either built-in FireWire (IEEE 1394) port or FireWire (IEEE 1394) FireWire (IEEE 1394) to cardbus PC card (IOI CardBus recommended.)
    -with either built-in USB port or USB 2.0 cardbus to PC card (IOI-CB501 recommended.)
