U2EIDE35-1 is an USB 2.0 to IDE (ATA) external enclosure designed to enable hot-swap and plug-and-play operations for IDE (ATA) device through the connection to USB 2.0 interface installed on a computer. U2EIDE35-1 allows users to easily hot-swap hard disk drive without interrupting the current operation. U2EIDE35-1 provides the perfect solution for data backup and transferring of data between computers using hard disk drives.

U2EIDE35-1 includes three key components:
1). USB 2.0 to IDE (ATA) Bridge Board
2). Plastic and Mechanism
3). AC 100 ~ 240 V to DC +12V 2A Power Adapter

1). USB 2.0 to IDE (ATA) Bridge Board:
A USB 2.0 to IDE (ATA) bridge board featuring USB 2.0 to ATA Native Bridge Controller:

• In-System-Design ISD-300A1 ATA compliant supports:
  • PIO Mode 0-4
  • Ultra DMA Mode 0-4
• USB Bus Transfer Rate: High Speed (480 Mbit) and Full Speed (12 Mbit)
• USB Bus Power: Self Powered Mode Operation
• USB 2.0 Interface: One USB B-Type connector

2). Plastic and Mechanism

• Outer Bondi Plastic Shell (Front, Top and Bottom)
• The inner HDD metal mounting bracket provide the screw hole for 3.5" ATA HDD.
• The inner HDD metal mounting bracket is good for heat dissipation.
• Power Switch on the front panel.
• One Built-in 30x30 mm cooling fan.
• Single dual-color LED (Red and Green) to indicate the Power and HDD Access

3). DC Power Connector

• Walkman-type 2.0 mm DC Jack

• Desktop PC: with either a built-in USB (1.0 or 2.0) controller or a USB (1.0 or 2.0) to PCI Host Adapter equipped with a external USB port.
• Laptop PC: with either a built-in USB (1.0 or 2.0) controller or a USB (1.0 or 2.0) to CardBus PC Card equipped with a external USB port.
