FW2ATA525-MR1-WP is a FireWire (1394a) to ATA storage equipment with read-only (write protect) function built-in. It allows ATA/SATA storage devices to connect to a 1394 serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion. The read-only (write protect) function provides the perfect solution for forensic application.

FW2ATA525-MR1-WP combines three key components:
1.) FireWire (IEEE-1394a) to ATA Bridge Board
2.) IDE Mobile Rack (IOIIDEMR-05)

1.) FireWire (IEEE-1394a) to ATA Bridge Board

• FireWire ports: Two 6-pin port
• 1394 Bus Transfer Rate: 100/200/400 Mbps
  • Complies with T13's ATA/ATAPI-6 Draft Specification:
  • Multiword DAM Mode 0-2
  • Ultra DAM Mode 2, 4, 5
  • Supports 48-bit addressing for large hard drives (>128GB)

2.) IDE Mobile Rack:

• The inner hard disk drive tray and mounting frame are made by aluminum which is good for heat dissipation
• Ejecting pull handle with miniature keylock
• Keylock + power switch make the hard disk drive tray hot-swappable
• One built-in 40x40 mm cooling fan
• Power indicator LED and HDD Access LED on the mobile tray
