Introduction

DB-35 Front Connect Series is a USB & FireWire (IEEE 1394) front-connect which includes an extension cable and a metal frame. It has both IEEE 1394 (FireWire) port and USB (1.1 or 2.0) port at the front panel. This allows USB or FireWire devices could be plug and unplug from the front panel of your computer!

DB-35 Front Connect Series is designed to fit the dimension of 3.5" Floppy Disk drive bay of the computer case.

Hardware Requirements
  • FireWire Front Connect
    • Desktop PC: with either a built-in FireWire (IEEE-1394) controller or a FireWire (IEEE-1394) to PCI Host Adapter equipped with an internal FireWire (IEEE 1394) port.
  • USB Front Connect
    • Desktop PC: with either a built-in USB controller or a USB to PCI Host Adapter equipped with an internal USB port (USB A-type or IDC 2x5/9pin header).

Remark:
We provide options of two different FireWire cables to connect either internal FW port (IDC 2x5/10pin) of the main board or a FireWire-to-PCI host adapter.
