| U2H4+ATA11S combines two key components:
1). Four ports USB 2.0 High Speed Hub
2). USB 2.0 to IDE(ATA/ATAPI) Bridge Controller
1). Four ports USB 2.0 High Speed Hub:
U2H4+ATA11S provides high-performance four downstream USB ports.
U2H4+ATA11S is designed with Multiple Transaction Translator (MTT) USB
2.0 HUB controller.
Multiple Transaction Translator (MTT) provides individual TT control
logics for each downstream port. This is a performance better choice for
USB 2.0 Hub
The U2H4+ATA11S works backward compatible either when any one of downstream
ports are connected to an USB 1.1 compliant device, or when the upstream
port is connected to a USB 1.1 compliant host.
- Compliant with USB 2.0(Data Rate 1.5/12/480Mbps)
- 4 downstream ports
- Two downstream ports (USB1&2) are Intel block berg-strip
header (2x5/9 pin).
- One downstream port (USB3) is Intel block berg-strip header (2x5/9
pin).
- One downstream internal port for USB 2.0 to ATA/SATA Bridge Board
- Upstream port
- Multiple transaction translator (MTT)
- One TT per downstream port for maximum performance
- All downstream facing ports can handle high-speed (480 Mbps), full-speed
(12 Mbps), and low-speed (1.5 Mbps) transaction.
- Self-powered mode operation.
- DC Power Connector
- Floppy Disk Drive like mini 4-pin DC power connector
2). USB 2.0 to IDE(ATA/ATAPI) Bridge Controller:
- Self-Powered Mode Operation
- Certified compliant for USB 2.0 (TID# 40490119), the USB Mass Storage
Class, and the USB Mass Storage Class Bulk-Only Transport (BOT) Specification
- Operates at high (480 Mbps) or full Speed (12 Mbps) speed USB
- USB 2.0 to PATA bridge controller: Cypress CY7C68300C
- Complies with ATA/ATAPI-6 specification:
- PIO mode 0, 3, 4
- Multiword DMA mode 2
- Ultra DMA mode 2, 3, 4
- Supports 48-bit addressing for large hard drives
- Supports ATA security features
- Supports mode page 5 for BIOS boot support
- Supports ATAPI serial number VPD page retrieval for Digital Rights
Management (DRM) compatibility
- Support for one or two ATA/ATAPI devices
- Support for CompactFlash and one ATA/ATAPI device
