Introduction

FW-i345MR is a FireWire 1394 mobile rack designed to enable hot-swap, plug-and-play operation for ATA devices through the connection to FireWire 1394 interface installed on a computer. FW-i345MR allows users to easily hot-swap hard disk drives mounted in the Mobile Rack without interrupting the current operation. FW-i345MR provides the perfect solution for data backup and transferring of data between computers using hard disk drives.

1). FireWire (IEEE 1394) to ATA Bridge Board

  • A two-port FireWire (IEEE-1394) to ATA bridge board featuring initio inic-1430L (IEEE 1394 to ATA/ATAPI Native Bridge Controller) and Texas Instrument TSB41AB2 1394a 400Mbps PHY.
  • Transfer speeds up to 100/200/400 Mbps.

2). Plastic and Mechanism

  • Frame of FW-i345MR is designed to fit the standard dimension of 5.25" device bay of the computer case.
  • The inner HDD tray and mounting frame were made by aluminum which is good for heat dissipation.
  • One Built-in 40x40 mm cooling fan.
  • key lock + Power Switch make FW-i345MR Hot Swappable.
