Introduction

FW-i345MR-WP is a FireWire (1394a) to ATA storage equipment with read-only (write protect) function built-in. It allows ATA/SATA storage devices to connect to a 1394 serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion. The read-only (write protect) function provides the perfect solution for forensic application.

Technical Specifications

FW-i345MR combines two key components:
 1). FireWire (IEEE 1394) to ATA Bridge Board
2). Plastic and Mechanism

1). FireWire (IEEE 1394) to ATA Bridge Board

  • A two-port FireWire (IEEE-1394) to ATA bridge board featuring initio inic-1430B (IEEE 1394 to ATA/ATAPI Native Bridge Controller) and Texas Instrument TSB41AB2 1394a 400Mbps PHY.
  • Transfer speeds up to 100/200/400 Mbps.

2). Plastic and Mechanism

  • Frame of FW-i345MR is designed to fit the standard dimension of 5.25" device bay of the computer case.
  • The inner HDD tray and mounting frame were made by aluminum which is good for heat dissipation.
  • One Built-in 40x40 mm cooling fan.
  • key lock + Power Switch make FW-i345MR Hot Swappable.
