Introduction

D-Pod + D-Bay is a Mobile Rack for 2.5" Serial ATA Hard Disk Drive.

The D-Bay was designed to fit the dimension of 3.5" FDD device bay of the computer case.

D-Pod + D-Bay will allow user to hot-swap the 2.5" Serial ATA Hard Disk Drive from the front panel of the computer.

D-Pod + D-Bay provides the perfect solution for data backup and transferring of data in using Serial ATA hard disk drives.

D-Bay is designed to fit the standard dimension of 3.5" FDD device bay of the computer case.

  • Sealed off metal enclosure design to provide good shielding for EMI prevention.
  • Dust cover designed for the docking.
  • Direct connect to Serial ATA cable (no extra converting P.C.B required).

2). D-Pod

D-Pod is a plastic case for 2.5" Serial ATA HDD

  • Plastic made housing design.
  • Designed to hold and protect the 2.5" Serial ATA HDD.
  • Provides handle for swapping

 
Application
  • Application 1:
    • D-Pod + D-Bay allows 2.5" Serial ATA HDD to be connected to Serial ATA host controller in a plug-and-play fashion
  • Application 2:
    • D-Pod + D-Bay allows 2.5" Serial ATA HDD to be connected to USB 2.0/ FireWire (IEEE 1394)/ Serial ATA to Serial ATA bridge in a plug-and-play fashion
